# How to customise the Download Axiom

Customize your Axiom download template with added steps and substeps to boost automation! For example, the Interact step has special sub-steps that automate actions such as clicks or entering text. Just click on the '+' icons to see which Steps you can add - it's never been easier!

Use substeps to customize your Axiom

# Test run your download automation

We always recommend doing a test run - check the files are downloaded to the selected folder?

# Troubleshooting the file download axiom

  • Files open in a browser window - Try setting the Force download option in the step. See below!
  • Files not downloading - Check the folder write permissions on your computer.

# Files that do not download and always open another window

For example, sometimes a pdf opens in a new window. This is a default browser behavior. We cannot override it, but there is a workaround. You can create a Chrome Profile and change the default behaviour for the profile.
